My name is Andrew Chun-An Wei and I am currently a second-year Masters of Architecture (3-year program) student.
Over my graduate education, I have discovered an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration. My academic work thus often is made in collaboration with landscape architecture partners or have a landscape architectural aspect. I also investigate and explore spatial qualities in forms of drawing, as influenced by my background in the arts.
In architecture, I am particularly interested in aviation spaces (including airports and airplane cabins), crossovers between landscape architecture and architecture, and small-scale interventions that help form a sense of identity.
Over the last summer, I had the great opportunity to work at EDSA, a landscape architectural firm, and gain first hand experience in collaborating and contributing as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
I have had the opportunity to work both as a teaching assistant and research assistant at the University of Illinois, and have some experience in lecturing, energy simulation, and small-scale fabrication.
